With tracks like “With Or Without You” and “Walls”, this
Durban trio have lyrical prowess like no other. Nailing notes whilst being
perfectly at home on stage. This band has taken their time. A journey well
travelled, at age 12, Marc Skarda knew that his calling was in music. He has
been a part of a few well known industry movers and shakers, even touring the
states with Tree63, music has always been a part of his life. Michelle and
Bryce became the perfect fit in making a dream into a reality. This trio has
poured months into making their sound a sound to be reckoned with.
Vocalist Michelle’s radiance is revealed throughout her
performance. Showing nothing but joy and satisfaction her harmonies take the
sound to another level. With stories being told in each song, one gets to hear
the reason why they had to live, battle the beast called insecurity, defy
challenging obstacles and eventually arrived to what now seems like a dream
come true. Bryce is multitalented musician who plays guitar, bass guitar,
keyboard, drums and more he featured occasionally on the night as the back-up
vocals.
The nostalgia of being in your living room enjoying a jam
session returned. Prodigal Road sculptured their repertoire. Making one feel
like old friends catching up over a cup of tea. The night was short lived and
their fans including me, cannot wait for their next performance.
